The grass is greener on the other side..

On Sunday I leave for Sweden. The mainreason I am going, is that I have to pack my things and leave my appartment , and bring the things here. Quite sad, but fourtunately I now have an appartment to live in, in the UK! I'll be living with a Swedish girl who's working as a hair- and make-up-artist. I've been talking to her every now and then and she seems quite fabulous. I'll meet her in Stockholm while I'm over there.
Other than to pack my belongings I want to meet some of my friends! It's been about 2 months now and I am going crazy Chris Crocker-style.

But until Sunday it's work work work sweety.

This picture is an oldie and fashion mistake-y, but I just want to point out.. that I miss Sverige

this season's first round of golf

Today was the first time I played golf in a really long time. I didn't beat my handicap, but it was a really nice game. I declare this golf season opened.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Recently I applied for a part-time job at A&F come fall. Today I got an e-mail where A&F invited me to an interview at their office's. When I was at the Abercrombie & Fitch flagshipstore I was quite surprised. It wasn't at all what I imagined. The music was really loud, the lighting was very poor, all these models/salesclerks run around splashing the scent of Abercrombie or maybe Fitch on everything. But in some way I really enjoyed it, even though preppy isn't my thing at all.

-The concept really puzzles me..

But anyways ... I would be happy to get a job there..

Hello London

Flight is booked. The 3rd of September I'm off! It's really happening.

It will rain in London

Of course it will, who are we kidding? This jacket could help out a lot. It's from Our Legacy.
I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any piece of clothing before London, but there are some things I need, therefore.. I am changing my promise..

You can find the jacket at http://www.tresbienshop.net

five reasons

5 reasons why I never colour my hair at home (again):

1. stains. When you colour your hair by yourself the colour goes everywhere, because your so into getting the colour right.

2. itch. The colour itches on your scalp like satan-on-a-stick.

3. horse-hair. Your hair is starting to resemble a horse's.

4. awareness. You know the hair will not look like the one on the picture, but you're trying to fool yourself it will.

5. result. I am wearing a cap from now on...

Sofia M. Westin

A couple of months ago I was a stylist for this up-and-coming Swedish designer Sofia Westin. The photoshoot was a blaast and the pictures turned out great!

Here are a few of them.

get up, and KICK ass

I called LCF today, wondering about a letter that I am yet to receive.. Apparently, they have not changed my country of residence, so the letters have been sent to a "Bergbyvägen" in Sweden.. and not Finland. nice. Loving the postal-service right now.
Well anyway.. I have to take this IELTS-test before starting in september, so I have tried to contact the Finnish-British society for about a week now, and today a snooty voice told me that they're out on holiday until the 5th of August. Panic attack panic attack panic attack ! Well, I called LCF again if I can take the test in the UK, and so I will.  All I have to do is move a bit earlier than planned. But why not? I will have a few weeks to settle down, find a job, find peace.

It's funny how things work out, when you make it work.

FABULOUS

bodies.

Most of you know that I am an aspiring model. This summer is about toning my body and eating healthy.. hmm has gone not so good until now. But now I am starting at a gym, after a 2 month break. I don't want the big bulgy muscles. I want firm lines, that's all.

This is Lasse P from Unique Models. He is my idol.

Colour me Kubrick

Tomorrow I'm about to do something I haven't done in a long long time. I will colour my hair at home. For about 4 years now I have gone to a professional to have my hair coloured in every tone there is. But tomorrow my very good friend will do it for me. It is much cheaper, but on the other hand, it is not as certain that it will turn out as you hoped. So we will see..  How do you feel about colouring your hair?

photo of a random gal. Maybe this IS fabulous?

papa's shoes

I didn't have any shoes to wear today so I took my father's biker - boots.
Then he gave them to me. I am now a proud owner.

the first outfit goes lumberjack

Just so you people know, this is my very first today's outfit. It can only get better.. haha?

Shirt: Urban Outfitters
tee: Filippa K
pants: Carin Wester
belt: vintage
watch: Casio

Bloody vischan..

There's something about the countryside that makes me want to puke. There's nothing going on! The quietness makes me slowly want to pack my bags and get the hell out. My rhythm for the moment is way of in never neverland it feels like. I am not even tired at 3 am and when I wake up at 10:30 my head is about to explode. I need this little annoying things like carhorns screaming, ambulance-sounds, people talking on their cellphones, the STRESS. Well I'm clearly a city-person. I could never imagine living on the countryside, they don't even have Sushi here!!
Which one do YOU prefer?

BUMBAGS!

When I was in London I had one thing on my mind to find :  a Bumbag. And so I did. I found this really fabulous one from Marc Jacobs.
Bumbags are very in at the moment, but they don't suit just anyone. They aren't really the most beautiful accessories, but they sure are handy. No more putting your belongings in bags, purses, (and not to mention pockets), the Bumbag does it all, and it's a lot safer. Maybe this Finnish trend has finally hit me, I can't really say, but it sure is Fab-u-lous!

Thursday.. say thursday

Today is one of those days you wish that you could stay in bed and not do a thing. The weather is quite dreadful, my mother is stressing out about summer guests and so on. I wish that I would have been working today at least, so I could've just been left out on all the drama we have at home.

Yesterday I was contacted by a Londonswede, who wanted ME to live with her, in her Holland Park-appartment in London. This flat would be quite fabulous, mostly because it's HOLLAND PARK, but also because it is just one stop from my school. But there's always a but... the rent is quite overprized, so I'm not quite sure if I can afford it. But I hope I can.

one soul for sale

Why is it, that there is a lot of boys and girls willing to sell their souls to fashion. I consider myself as one of them, and it puzzles me. I think for me, it started when I watched the movie "Devil wears Prada" for the very first time. I want to be successful, but first I want to drag myself through all the shitty assistant-jobs the fashion industry contains. Not because I feel that it will be a very easy job, because it wont, but because I feel that I will get to know so many people and the experience I will get, is as much as the day is long.

In september I am moving to London, to study at the London College of Fashion. I am thinking about taking a part-time job as an intern at a fashion-company. Now it finally feels like my life is about to start.

maybe this IS fabulous?

la Finlande

About a month ago I decided to spend the summer in my childhood home in Wasa,Finland. I think it was quite a clever choice to make, after all, I am moving to London in september, and I will need every penny I can get.
Until now I haven't done anything else than working, and it feels OK. My mind is totally set on London, and I can't wait to the day that is : go,went, gone

A little bit of slacking I've had time with.
